Tom Meeten (born 30 April 1974) is an English comedian, actor and writer.
== Life and career==

Meeten was born in Northampton; he graduated in 1996 from Sheffield Hallam University after studying Fine Arts.
He is best known for his television roles in the ''Mighty Boosh'' (2005–07) as Lance Dior,〔Holland, Luke. ("Beyond the Boosh: Noel Fielding's Luxury Comedy" ), "Sabotage Times", 17 February 2012. Retrieved on 17 February 2012.〕 a cast regular in the award winning ''Star Stories'' (2006–08) and co-writing and starring in ''Blunder'' (2006).
He has also appeared in numerous other T.V. shows, including ''How Not to Live Your Life'', ''The IT Crowd'', ''Saxondale'', ''Miranda'' and ''Skins.''
Film credits include ''Burke and Hare'' (2010) and ''Magicians'' (2007). He also recently starred as Captain Acid in ''Weekender'' (2011).
Tom has primarily worked with double act partner Steve Oram. Together they created three shows at the Edinburgh Festival, performed a monthly London live show ''Oram and Meeten's Club Fantastico'' with Waen Shepherd, Tony Way and Alice Lowe and wrote and starred in ''Matthew and Tone: Tales of Friendship and Innocence'' for Ch 4.〔Mullaney, Martin. He has also written with Simon Farnaby, James Bachman, Alice Lowe and Barunka O'Shaughnessy.
Other writing projects have included sketches for ''That Mitchell and Webb Look'' (2010) and co writing a feature film for Warp Films, ''I Spit on Your Rave'' (2009). He created and performed characters for ''Blunder'' (2006, Ch4) including ''The Baron'', ''Karate Johnson'' and ''Franco Franco''.
Meeten can currently be seen in ''Noel Fielding's Luxury Comedy'' (2012, E4) where he plays cast regular Andy Warhol and other characters including Figo the Fruit Fly, Daran Cache and Big Chief Woolabum Boomalackaway. He is currently touring with Noel as part of of his show 'An Evening with Noel Fielding' playing characters such as Gordon the Triange and Big Chief Woolabum Boomalackaway.
He also writes for and appears in a series of BBC online sketches for the fake channel ''BBC Nought'' alongside James Bachman.〔http://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/p00hs547〕
